A jewel of the earth, caught in glass.

This handcrafted stained glass beetle is a study in light, texture, and transformation. The body is created from mouth-blown Fremont glass in shifting hues of pink, blue, and deep black, each segment catching the light like an iridescent shell hidden somewhere rare. The eyes are made from textured dichroic glass, shifting in color depending on the light; glowing bright blue when backlit, and revealing pink and yellow tones when lit from the front. It gives the piece a subtle, almost living quality, as if itโ€™s quietly observing from within the glass. Surrounding it, rich olive green mouth-blown glass, with a crackle-style clear glass frame that adds movement and shimmer; like light passing through water or time itself.

Approximate Size: 10.5 x 7 inches

Symbolizing renewal, protection, and quiet resilience, the beetle has long been seen as a keeper of transformation, a small but powerful presence.

Hang it in a window and watch it come alive, shifting between soft pastels, deep tones, and flashes of color as the light changes throughout the day.

Pattern by Jette Avery
(some artist sell commercial licenses to some of their popular patterns so that way other artists can make their pattern and sell the completed pieces.)

Included is a faux suede cording tied to the jump rings to hang in a window or on a wall, and I try my best to choose a color that matches or compliments each piece!

Each piece is polished with wax that provides a protective coating for the solder and the glass.

The metal used in stain glass is a blend of tin and lead. However unless you breath in the fumes when heating the material, or ingest it, it is not harmful. Wash your hands after handling the piece before eating as a precaution.

As always if there are any shipping overages I will refund the difference ๐Ÿค—
I accept cancellation within 2 hours of purchase.

CARE & SAFETY!

Cleaning your piece:
Periodic cleaning with a gentle glass polish and soft rag will help return your piece to its original shine! Do not use any harsh chemical or household cleaners on stained glass works, this can cause permanent damage to the piece.

Suction cups are not reliable! :
I strongly advise against suction cups! Stained glass is heavier than you realize and suction cups will pull away overtime especially with seasonal temperature changes.
Instead use hooks hanging directly down from the window frame or screws above the window. Even better, use hardware already on your windows like locks and hinges!

I love to see pieces in their new homes! If you post pics on your social media be sure to tag me so I can happy ugly cry ๐Ÿ’•
