Moth

$80.00

Drawn to the light, but made of shadow.

This handcrafted stained glass moth is created using stunning silver and brown Van Gogh glass; each piece swirling with organic, painterly movement that feels almost alive. The glass shifts between soft metallic shimmer and deep earthy tones, catching the light in a way that makes the wings feel in motion.

No two sections are ever the same, giving this moth a naturally wild, almost ethereal presence. This piece was made with the intent of being a wall hanging rather than a sun catcher due to the painted backing of this glass. You can still hang it in a window and when the light shines through it gives the effect of 'worn' moth wings!

Approximate size: 11 x 5 inches

A symbol of transformation, quiet obsession, and the pull toward something just out of reach, this piece carries a darker kind of beauty. Hang it in a window and watch as the light reveals hidden textures and depth, like secrets only visible at certain angles.

Perfect for lovers of moody decor, nature-inspired pieces, or anyone who finds beauty in the in-between—the soft, shadowed, almost-forgotten places.

Included is a faux suede cording tied to the jump rings to hang in a window or on a wall, and I try my best to choose a color that matches or compliments each piece!

Each piece is polished with wax that provides a protective coating for the solder and the glass.

The metal used in stain glass is a blend of tin and lead. However unless you breath in the fumes when heating the material, or ingest it, it is not harmful. Wash your hands after handling the piece before eating as a precaution.

As always if there are any shipping overages I will refund the difference 🤗
I accept cancellation within 2 hours of purchase.

CARE & SAFETY!

Cleaning your piece:
Periodic cleaning with a gentle glass polish and soft rag will help return your piece to its original shine! Do not use any harsh chemical or household cleaners on stained glass works, this can cause permanent damage to the piece.

Suction cups are not reliable! :
I strongly advise against suction cups! Stained glass is heavier than you realize and suction cups will pull away overtime especially with seasonal temperature changes.
Instead use hooks hanging directly down from the window frame or screws above the window. Even better, use hardware already on your windows like locks and hinges!

I love to see pieces in their new homes! If you post pics on your social media be sure to tag me so I can happy ugly cry 💕
